Join us for our exciting STEAM classes designed for ages 7-14. Classes are drop-off enrichment classes. Each class is $25 and lasts an hour and a half, providing ample time for engaging lessons as well as socializing and play. Spaces are limited, so don't miss out! Each class is offered twice a week. Choose either a Wednesday or Thursday class.
STEAM (ages 7-14): Wednesdays from 12:30pm-2pm.
STEAM (ages 7-14): Thursdays from 10am-11:30am.

January 7/8, 2026: Picasso Roll and Draw Art Project
Get ready to explore the wild and wonderful world of Pablo Picasso and Cubist art! In this fun, hands-on project, students will roll the dice to create their own whimsical Picasso-style portraits while learning about the artist’s life and style. Perfect for all skill levels, this activity blends art history and creativity in a way that keeps kids laughing, learning, and inspired.
January 14/15, 2026: Morse Code Bracelets
In this creative hands-on class, students will learn the basics of Morse code and use dots and dashes to design their own personalized bracelets. As they create, students build fine motor skills, practice pattern recognition, and explore a fun piece of communication history. By the end of class, everyone leaves with a stylish, meaningful bracelet they designed themselves!
January 21/22, 2026: Paper Plane Challenge
Join us for a high-flying STEAM Drop-In Class where creativity meets science! Students will design, test, and improve their own paper airplanes to see which one flies the farthest, stays in the air the longest, or lands perfectly on target. This hands-on session blends science, technology, engineering, art, and math as kids explore the forces of flight — lift, drag, thrust, and gravity — while building and decorating their own aircraft!
January 28/29, 2026: Robotics
Join us for an exciting robotics and coding class where students will explore the diverse range of robots that Brighten offers! From understanding the basics of coding to building their own robots, students will dive into hands-on projects that enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Participants will engage with various robots, learning how to program and control them to perform specific tasks.

February 4/5, 2026: OP Art and Optical Illusions
Get ready to create art that moves! Students will explore Op Art and optical illusions, learning how artists use patterns, lines, and contrast to trick the brain. Kids will design bold, eye-catching artwork while discovering how our eyes and brains work together.
February 11/12, 2026: Lego Build Lab
February 18/19, 2026: Color-Changing Chemistry: Acids, Bases, and Reactions
February 25/26, 2026: Creative Tech Lab: Talking Clay Creatures
Put on your scientist hat! In this hands-on STEAM science class, students will explore acids, bases, and chemical reactions using a natural color-changing indicator. Kids will make predictions, test everyday liquids, observe real chemical changes, and learn how scientists use evidence to understand what’s happening—even when it’s invisible. This inquiry-based class focuses on observation, experimentation, and critical thinking—perfect for curious minds who love discovering how things work!
Students will build with LEGOs and enjoy watching our tween/teen LEGO stop-motion animation films—perfect inspiration for creativity, storytelling, and engineering fun.
Students will sculpt air-dry clay creatures and bring them to life by making them talk and giving them personalities using technology!
